The beauty world is teeming with amazing people, and undoubtedly, each and every one of them has a plethora of remarkable ideas and concepts ready to share.
Still, only some of these creatives are able to rise above the rest and create their own beauty businesses. Here are five beauty industry entrepreneurs that we’ve definitely got our eye on.
1. Lori Crete
With over 18k followers on Instagram, Lori’s not “just starting out” anymore. Not only is she finding success in her own rite as an esthetician and spa owner, but she’s helping others in the beauty industry as well — both as an established industry expert and a coach and founder of The Beauty Biz Club™.
2. Sonia Roselli
Sonia Roselli’s not far behind Lori in terms of Instagram followers. Roselli is a professional makeup artist and esthetician, specializing in ageless beauty. She also has her own line of products, which are meant to create goddess-level skin with a smooth and supple glow. Her clients and customers say: “It works!”
3. Debra Harness
We are proud to recognize Debra Harness as a graduate of New York Institute of Beauty! Debra is originally from England but came to the states at 21, started a family, and eventually went back to school to become an esthetician. She is now the proud owner of her own spa, The Treatment Room, in Smithtown, NY.
4 & 5. Loren Cumberbatch and Paula Ortiz
Loren Cumberbatch and Paula Ortiz (also graduates of New York Institute of Beauty!) are co-owners of Skin Studio 226 in Carle Place. These two powerhouse entrepreneurs have nearly 15 years of experience between them, and they harnessed that experience and their expertise to create an amazing beauty business. At Skin Studio 226, you can get everything from a facial or a massage, to makeup or an eyebrow wax!
You Too Can Become a Beauty Entrepreneur

To be an entrepreneur means incorporating hard work and dedication, a steadfast plan to start off with, and, of course, the ability to forge out on your own and take a risk (hopefully a well-measured risk!).
