Program Overview:

The 600-Hour State Board Esthetics Program at the New York Institute of Beauty (NYIB) in Suffolk County, Long Island offers a comprehensive education in skin care, hair removal, and makeup.   Students complete the program gaining real world experience while preparing for their New York State licensing exams. The Esthetics program sets students up with the skills and training necessary to follow their career goals, and all NYIB graduates receive lifetime job placement assistance.

Our dynamic program combines in-depth theory with hands-on training, utilizing professional grade products, ensuring students build a strong foundation in esthetics techniques and industry standards. Training begins with students practicing on each other in a supportive, instructor-guided setting. As skills progress, students transition to our Senior Clinic, where they provide services to real clients in our state-of-the-art Long Island facility, further refining their expertise and confidence.

Students enrolled in our popular Esthetics Hybrid Program will receive a hybrid learning format during their theory portion — alternating one week on-site with one-week virtual learning. This means students receive the same great education NYIB has always provided – but with the benefit of less commuting to campus.  Once all theory is completed utilizing hybrid learning, students transition to Senior Clinic and are fully on-site for the remainder of the program.

Students in all program versions receive Dermalogica and Make-Up Designory Student Kits, ProsperU Beauty Business training, student membership to Associated Skin Care Professionals, and more!
