Thanks to television shows like The Walking Dead and iZombie, zombies are having a major moment.

DIY a zombie makeup look by covering your eyelids with dark brown or charcoal shadow. Cover the under eye region with the dark shadow, as well as the brows and the bridge of your nose. These contours give definition.

Next, cover the face with a pale white face powder. Leave the lips pale or apply lipstick. Red lipstick will look bloody, while a blue lipstick will mimic dead skin. Either is the perfect touch.

For the ultimate creepy touch, dab liquid latex on your face (say, the cheek or forehead) and press a tissue into the latex. When it dries, it will look like rotting skin.

Apply fake blood and your zombie look is complete. If you’d rather make your own fake blood, blend corn syrup and flour into a paste and then add red food coloring.

If you’d rather look like a specific zombie, pick one of your favorite Walking Dead characters. Use clothing, props and wigs to mimic their signature style. For a couples’ take on the zombie look, consider going as an iconic famous couple that have turned into the undead.

With Wonder Woman making box office waves, it should come as no surprise that Diana is a trending look this year. The signature Diana accessory is her gold circlet, so use gold makeup to draw a circlet with a red star on your forehead.

Thick, dark brows make the look. Use brow pencil to darken and define your brows. Choose between a smoky gold look for the eyes or a patriotic red, white, and blue theme. For patriotic eyes, sweep a band of red eyeshadow over the base of the eyelid, followed by red shadow above it. Using liquid white liner, draw stars at the outer eye. Finalize the look with ruby red lipstick.

The Instagram trend of the season is butterfly eyes. For a simple, chic look, cover the eyes with your preferred shade of shadow. For a monarch butterfly eye look, you’d use orange. Then use liquid mascara to draw a butterfly wing shape on both eyelids and define the wings. Follow up with white makeup to create highlights.
