What Does Hands-On Training Include?

Students progress from practicing on mannequins, to classmates, and then to working with real clients in NYIB's Student Clinic. On-site training includes: 

• Equipment and tool handling

Can I Choose Day or Evening Classes?

Yes. NYIB offers flexible daytime and evening options for both the Esthetics and Advanced Esthetics programs, making it easier for students to fit school into their schedules. 

Are There Prerequisites?

• Esthetics Hybrid Program: No prerequisites required. 

• Advanced Esthetics Hybrid Program: For students looking to take the entire Advanced Esthetics Program from the start, no prerequisites.  For students already licensed in New York State but who want additional education, you will need to submit proof of completion of a New York State 600-hour Esthetics program in order to transfer in to complete the additional 300-hours. 

How Does NYIB Prepare Me for the State Board?

Both programs are designed to meet New York State Board requirements for licensure. NYIB blends theory and practical instruction so that students are fully prepared for the written and hands-on portions of the state exam. 

Senior Clinic training also prepares students for the real-world pace and expectations of the industry. 

What Do I Need for Hybrid Learning?

NYIB provides industry-grade equipment and facilities on-site.  Additionally, students purchase a student kit with essential tools and supplies in order to effectively learn at home and in school. You'll also need: 

• A laptop with a functioning camera and microphone 

• A stable internet connection 

• This is important as students must access Milady's CIMA, NYIB's online learning platform. 

• Students will also be live on camera for learning sessions, so a strong internet connection is vital. 

• Time management skills to keep up with alternating weekly schedules
