New York Institute of Beauty Career Fair

The New York Institute of Beauty Career Fair & Expo is an annual event held exclusively for nyib graduates and current students. This is a highly anticipated event where graduates and students get to meet employers and vendors to learn about career opportunities, and where employers and vendors get find quality esthetic, makeup and nail professionals. This year was a great success with over 100 participants.

Student Preparation

Michelle Taylor, representative of Revitalash, says, “I was so impressed with how New York Institute of Beauty organizes this event and prepares their students – Outstanding! Prior to attending the Career Fair & Expo, all NYIB students are encouraged and guided to update their resumes and review their class notes on chapters such as what to wear to an interview, how to answer the tough questions, and of course, how to follow-up after the event. Career Service Coordinator, Dana Hack, followed up with graduates, current students and vendors from the beginning of the year up until the day of the event to ensure students and graduates were prepared with resumes and vendors were prepared for on the spot interviewing. This year over 100 participants attended the Career Fair & Expo to make it a winning event for all participants.

Demonstrations On New Trends In The Industry

In addition to the Career Fair & Expo, students were able to attend demonstrations on new trends in the industry. NYIB’s very own graduate Kristen DeRosa, demonstrated new techniques in the industry for microcurrent with Tama Blue Onyx.
