Fashion week in New York City is around the corner and once again fashion designer Carrie Hammer has asked New York Institute of Beauty’s Makeup Team to do the makeup for her “role models” who will be walking the runway.
Carrie Hammer who was named in Forbes magazine as one of 2015’s top 30 under 30, asked the NYIB makeup team to create a specific, empowering look. These looks either entail a bold red lip, black liner, and some false lashes or a peachy lip with lush lashes. Carrie Hammer incorporated these makeup looks with her custom made clothing designs, which are both professional and stylish at the same time.
This year you can be sure Carrie Hammer will provide us with a whole new team of “role models”, which is defined as an empowered woman, who is resilient, hard working, and determined. In the past some of these “role models” consisted of entrepreneurs, women with disabilities, and even a military veteran. Jesse Draper, creator and host of The Valley Girl show and CEO of Valley Girl Inc, is just one example of an influential woman who meets the criteria to be considered a “role model”. Between the incredible designer, the powerful “role models” and the talented NYIB makeup team it makes perfect sense for all of these women to be working together under one roof in New York City.
The NYIB makeup team consists of students who attend the beauty school either to study esthetics or sharpen their makeup skills through their Make-up Designory (MUD) Beauty Essentials program. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring makeup artists to experience first- hand what it’s like to work in a fast paced work environment while showing off their skills. The NYIB makeup team continuously does an outstanding job at Fashion Week. Time after time they exemplify their professionalism and their passion. Each NYIB makeup team member is talented, diligent, and compassionate. They continue to bring their A-game at every event. The team is so talented they are often asked to do photo shoots, and other fashion shows including Small Boutique Fashion week. We look forward to another successful 2015 Fashion Week!
