Pain: You may feel some pain or discomfort even after the topical anesthetic has been used. Anesthetics work better for some people than for others.
Infection: Infection is very uncommon. The areas treated must be kept clean and only freshly cleaned hands may touch the areas. See "after care sheet" for instruction on care.
Uneven Pigmentation: This may result from poor healing, infection, bleeding or many other causes. Your follow-up appointment will likely correct any uneven appearance.
Asymmetry: Every effort will be made to create symmetry, however our faces are not symmetrical, and we have no control over the healed results. Adjustments may be needed during the follow-up session to correct any unevenness.
Excessive Swelling or Bruising: Some people bruise or swell more than others. Ice packs may help reduce the swelling. The swelling or bruising typically disappears within 1-5 days. Some people do not bruise or swell at all.
Anesthetics: Topical anesthetics are used to numb the area to be tattooed. Lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine and/or epinephrine crème and/or liquid are used. If you are allergic to any of these please inform us immediately.
MRI: Because pigments used in permanent cosmetic procedure contain inert oxides, a low-level magnet may be required if you need to be scanned by an MRI machine. You must inform your MRI technician of any tattoos or permanent cosmetics. The alternative to these possibilities is to use traditional cosmetics and not undergo the cosmetic tattoo procedure.
I understand Microblading and Permanent Makeup is a procedure where pigment is implanted into the open skin- making it a form of tattooing, even though it may fade faster than a tattoo.
I understand potential risks as explained above and understand that following my aftercare instructions is crucial to the final outcome and result of my healed procedure.
I understand that healing and pigment retention varies from person to person.
I have been given full pre and post care instructions.
I fully understand that permanent makeup is not an exact science, and the final outcome is entirely reliant on how my skin heals, how closely I follow my after care, my skin type and how fast my body regenerates and my metabolism.
I agree to follow all after care instructions and understand that my following the aftercare instructions are crucial to my finished outcome, and to avoid infection.
I have listed ANY and ALL health issues/allergies (even if I think some may not be relevant) and I consent to undergoing this procedure.
I have spoken with my health specialist (oncologist, cardiologist etc if applicable) about having this procedure, and have been given clearance in writing to have the microblading procedure done at this time.
I do not have any health/bleeding/bruising/healing issues that would interfere with my healing process.
