The nyib Make Up Team at New York Fashion Week 2023!

The nyib Make Up Team had the honor of working backstage at this year’s February New York Fashion Week. The team worked multiple shows over the span of 2 days… something only a few can do! The hustle and bustle of the shows were no match due to the dedication of the team.

On Friday, February 11^th, the nyib Make Up Team worked backstage worked backstage for The Fashion Life Tour at the Westin in Times Square. The Fashion Life Tour is a multiple-designer runway show, produced by CEO Kiara Belen—who is a successful and established model herself, having been runner-up on America’s Next Top Model! This show served as a platform for fashion designers and emerging models to showcase their talents and gain experience at Fashion Week. There were models of all age ranges, from small children to older adults. This gave the team an amazing opportunity to perform on different kinds of clients and figure their way through appropriate makeup services. Our nyib Make Up Team collaborated with our partner school, Long Island Beauty School’s Beauty Design Team, and did an amazing job at this show!

While some team members worked in Times Square, some more of our members were at The Penthouse working the Infinite Exposure show. In this show, our makeup artists were able to execute full-glam looks, complete with hairstyles achieved with Blinger hair gems. With the hair being so extravagantly dramatic, our team went all out with bold smokey eyes and fierce lips. The designers of this show channeled the glam energy through their lines as well! All clothing lines were of bright and traditional patterns, bold colors, and bedazzled to match the hair look of the event! Our Make Up team worked alongside our partner school, Long Island Beauty School’s Beauty Design Team, and collaboratively worked to achieve beautiful makeup and hair looks.

In Broadway, NYC, some of our team members worked at Small Boutique Fashion Week. This production had 3 shows in total, and yes, the nyib Make Up Team worked all 3! The designers’ clothes were beautiful, and the makeup looks created by our team were just as alluring. At this show, we worked alongside our partner school, American Beauty School’s Beauty Team, to create the makeup and hair looks of the event. This show was a pleasure!

On Sunday, February 12^th, we as well as our two partner schools, Long Island Beauty School and American Beauty School, worked the show for Street Fashion Week in Brooklyn. This event was nothing short of spectacular! The team was given the opportunity to work on celebrity guests like rapper Steph G and Love & Hip Hop’s reality TV star Adizia Benson! It was such an honor to be able to meet and make up these two beautiful women. The team also serviced the designer of the night, Ron Dyce! It is so special to see our team members’ work on not only the models, but the stars of the shows as well!

We could not be any prouder of our nyib Make Up Team and all the hard work they put into each show! Their talent is truly impeccable. Our team is a constant reminder that nothing is impossible as long as you stay persistent and follow your passion. We have immense love and support for each team member and lead stylist that works with us, nothing we do is possible without their support!
