May has had a passion for all things beauty ever since she was a little girl when she would watch her mom and her older cousins put on their amazing 90s makeup looks on. Brow lipstick will always be her most prized possession!

When it was time to choose a college, May didn’t realize that there were options to study makeup in a “traditional” way. She chose to follow her other passion, Fashion and attend fashion school! A graduate of LIM College in NYC with her BA in Marketing, May focused on learning about the different areas of the industry that included Public Relations, Editorial Magazines, Fashion Week, and more.

After volunteering at many NY Fashion Week shows, May realized that this was the world she truly wanted to be in! Her true passion was still makeup and found a great opportunity working for a makeup brand. A wonderful 12 year career for incredible brands including MAKE UP FOR EVER and KEVYN AUCOIN, overseeing marketing campaigns and product launches and meeting celebrity makeup artists and traveling all over the world was truly a dream come true for a girl from Long Island!

When May became a mom, she realized that she needed to be close to family, leave NYC and come back to her hometown and start a new career. And luckily enough, she found NYIB. An esthetics school right down the road from where she grew up.

Not too familiar with the world of esthetics, May was able to jump in as the Admissions Representative and meet hundreds of prospective students and help them make the right choice by choosing NYIB to follow their dreams of becoming Estheticians and Makeup Artists!

She’s truly loved this new chapter of her life and she can’t wait to meet everyone that is hoping to change their lives at NYIB!
