In July of 2020, popstar Rihanna’s cosmetics brand Fenty launched the highly-anticipated Fenty Skin.
We like to review skincare lines before we recommend them — or use them ourselves! And this is especially true when they’re brand-new and have a lot of hype. You can find our specific review of Fenty Skin below. Before that, though, let’s go over a few of the basics concerning this new product line from Rihanna.
What Is Fenty Skin?
While it’s not uncommon for celebrities to tack their name onto any number of products that they actually don’t care for themselves (or even use), in Rihanna’s case, it appears that she was and is highly invested and involved in this new line of skincare products. Of one specific product, Rihanna is quoted as saying:
“I wanted to create a night cream that really relieved your skin from all the stress that the day had put on it. I wanted to deliver results and have a texture and finish that felt like your skin was really resetting itself overnight. You gotta give your skin the beauty rest it deserves!”
Fenty Skin’s “Start’rs” include three products to make up a simple, yet effective, skincare routine:
- Total Cleans’r: Remove-It-All Cleanser
- Fat Toner: Pore-Refining Toner Serum
- Hydra Vizor: Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen
These products are meant to be used AM and PM to “brighten skin, reduce the look of pores, and target dark spots.” According to the website, all of Rihanna’s Fenty Skin products contain recycled materials and are:
- Clean
- Vegan
- Cruelty-free
- Gluten-free
- Refillable
- Recyclable
