The unprecedented coronavirus has deeply impacted every aspect of life, even the way that we learn. When the historic closing of U.S. institutions began in mid-February, schools across the nation were forced to look towards the future. Campus education at the New York Institute of Beauty was suspended indefinitely and the school immediately started the transition to Distance Learning.
In 2020, New York Institute of Beauty students can immerse themselves in a ‘Virtual Experience’ that combines a digital curriculum with collaborative study groups, live events, and safe on-campus training.
Tour the Campus
New York Institute of Beauty makes it easy to tour the campus and see where you’ll be learning about all things beauty. Prospective students have the choice of scheduling a virtual or on-campus tour. A virtual tour allows students to meet with our Education Team without ever leaving home. For students that prefer an in-person tour, simply schedule a time to walk around campus.
Discover a Digital Curriculum
Students can enhance their knowledge and advance their skills with a comprehensive digital curriculum delivered by the accomplished educators at New York Institute of Beauty. The New York Institute of Beauty offers students a combination of live video sessions, a private New York Institute of Beauty app, and the MindTap Platform by Milady. Students also have round-the-clock access to an extensive digital library filled with reviews, documents, protocols, and much more.
Participate in Study Groups
Collaboration among students and industry professionals can be an effective way for students to learn, discuss complex concepts, and stimulate interest in new techniques. At New York Institute of Beauty, instructors hold weekly voluntary study groups that give students the opportunity to actively participate in group learning. Students are able to submit questions ahead of time and have them promptly answered by experts in the industry.
Attend Live Events
New York Institute of Beauty has partnered with many incredible companies involved in the Beauty and Esthetic Industry to host several events each month. Both students and graduates are invited to these live events to gain further knowledge and build valuable network connections.
Complete On-Campus Training
Once students make it the final portion of the Esthetics or Advanced Esthetics Program, they are invited back to campus to complete hands-on training. Students will have the opportunity to gain the valuable hands-on skills required to be successful in the industry. Hands-on training also helps students prepare for their State Board Practical exams. The New York Institute of Beauty will also be offering free workshops for students and graduates to gain more experience working with clients with different skin types.
