New York Institute of Beauty has a long and storied history of providing enhanced learning opportunities to those interested in a beauty career. We recently revisited one of our graduates, Tajrin Sahadat, to check in and see where her career has gone following her time enrolled at NYIB.
For as long as Tajrin can remember, she has had a passion for skincare and makeup. Her interest was a fun hobby until she realized that her love for beauty could turn into a professional career. With a background in retail, she had always been comfortable and loved being around people. By pursuing a beauty career, she could continue working with people while putting her talent to use.
After researching local beauty schools on Long Island, NYIB was the obvious choice for Tajrin. According to Tajrin, the New York Institute of Beauty provides “the top Esthetics training.” The school was her top and only pick for getting licensed as an Esthetician in New York. She couldn’t be happier with her choice, and as she says, “I’m so proud to be a part of it!”
Exciting Opportunities for Graduates of NYIB
After her training from NYIB, Tajrin quickly earned a position in the field she loved. Through her current work at the East Wind Day Spa, she feels as though someone new is being helped by her skills every day. Her goal for every client is to make them look and feel good. As she puts it, “When my clients feel happy and get positive results, that’s the most satisfying moment for me.”
Through her work with clients at the day spa, she’s gaining hands-on experience and building a portfolio to open up even more advanced career opportunities. Her time at NYIB also prepared her to take on new challenges, including providing detailed skincare consultations virtually to her clients to keep up with the ‘new norm’.
“Always Focus on Your Goals”
To succeed at NYIB and in her career following graduation, Tajrin remains goal-driven. Her advice to new and prospective Esthetician students is to work hard and always listen to instructors’ guidance. She acknowledges that NYIB is a challenging program but insists the intensity will only benefit the student in the long run. At the end of the day, Tajrin feels that “NYIB trains with their heart and soul to make each student perfect to face the real world.”
